Under terms of the settlement, the 145-acre golf course is guaranteed an adequate supply of water from the basin beneath the course while the city of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., may continue to operate a groundwater recovery plant without risks of litigation. The club sued the city in 2014, saying its ability to operate was being jeopardized by the city’s extraction of water as a source of drinking water.

Phase II of the “Marbella, Reinvented” improvement initiative at the San Juan Capistrano, Calif. property replaced old dining venues with a new main dining room with a built-in action station and pizza oven, an enlarged Mixed Grille with gathering tables, a new “captivating interaction bar” and improvements to the Catalonia Terrace.
Top Management Changes Announced at Ocean Reef Club, Congressional CC
After 15 years as General Manager/COO of Congressional CC, Michael Leemhuis has moved to Ocean Reef Club to succeed Paul Astbury, who has retired. Congressional has named Jeffrey Kreafle as its new GM/COO; he will move from his current position at Bellerive CC to start at the Bethesda, Md., club April 1.
