With the purchase of the Pinehurst, N.C., property by the Nebraska-based golf investment company, it becomes the latest addition to the Dormie Network of destination golf clubs that also includes Briggs Ranch GC, Arbor Links and Ballyhack GC. Under the management of Landscapes Unlimited, LLC, golf course improvements are planned and a new full-service clubhouse, halfway house and on-site lodging accommodations, including cottages and executive suites, will now be built as the club returns to its original status as a private course.
The two-time presenter at the Chef to Chef Conference and eight-time participant in the Culinary Olympics wrote the book, described as “a story of loss, love and the ingredients of greatness,” with best-selling author John David Mann.
The club that is part of the Colonial Williamsburg destination includes a Gold Course originally designed in 1963 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., that was reopened this year after a complete renovation by his son, Rees Jones. In other management-firm appointments, Landscapes Management Co. will now manage Briggs Ranch GC in San Antonio, Texas, and Hunter’s Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla., has renewed its relationship with OB Sports Golf Management.
