The semi-private facility in Laurel, Md., was recently purchased by Alan Cohen, a first-time golf course owner, from former owner/operator Fore Golf Partners. A five-year contract has been signed with Cohen for Landscapes to control club and golf course operations. Patuxent Greens has a Russell Roberts-designed course and is planning a clubhouse renovation that will include development of a 250-guest banquet space.
Dormie Club Joins Dormie Network After Purchase by Hainoa, LLC
With the purchase of the Pinehurst, N.C., property by the Nebraska-based golf investment company, it becomes the latest addition to the Dormie Network of destination golf clubs that also includes Briggs Ranch GC, Arbor Links and Ballyhack GC. Under the management of Landscapes Unlimited, LLC, golf course improvements are planned and a new full-service clubhouse, halfway house and on-site lodging accommodations, including cottages and executive suites, will now be built as the club returns to its original status as a private course.
