Under the terms of the proposal, 40 acres of the golf course at the Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., property would be sold in exchange for a deed restriction that would guarantee the remaining golf course stays undeveloped for recreational purposes until 2057. Once the property is sold, $2 million would be earmarked for improving the remaining 12 holes, which would include a nine-hole course and a three-hole practice loop.
