After it became clear that a high-profile name wasn’t enough on its own to ensure a top-notch club operation, a new management team was turned loose to revitalize the Port St. Lucie, Fla., property—and in the process, add new luster to the brand.
The PGA of America Puts St. Lucie Trail GC Up for Sale
The organization plans to sell the Port St. Lucie, Fla., property, along with its PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance, “in the near future,” but released no other details. Members of PGA Golf Club, which includes the St. Lucie Trail facility, were told of the impending sale on April 12.
Valhalla GC, PGA GC Celebrate Milestones
The PGA of America celebrated its centennial last year, and the Louisville, Ky., and Port St. Lucie, Fla., properties celebrated 30 and 20 years, respectively. PGA GC is planning to renovate its Ryder course next year, wrapping up a five-year plan to keep its four golf courses up-to-date.
