Brian Quinn, a former touring pro now in his llth season as head men’s coach at Philadelphia’s Temple University, is part of a new corporation formed to acquire Plymouth Country Club in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., which will now be rebranded as The 1912 Club, in recognition of the year it was founded. The club features a William Flynn-designed golf course that will now be renovated under the direction of Ron Prichard.

Aronimink GC to Return to “Vintage Look”
Gil Hanse will restore all bunkers, return some greens to their original dimensions, and make other fixes to the Newtown Square, Pa., golf course, based on recently discovered photographs taken of the original Donald Ross design in 1929. The work, which will be conducted from October to April for the next two years, will be completed in time for the 2018 BMW Championship.
The Union League of Philadelphia, Torresdale Frankford CC Consider Partnership
The potential partnership between the two Philadelphia clubs could give The Union League a home golf course, while helping Torresdale Frankford through its financial struggles. Torresdale Frankford recently considered a sale of its buildings and parking to Holy Family University, but that deal fell through.
