The 137-acre Haverhill, Mass., property with an 18-hole course was bought for $960,000 by Sterling Golf Management, which manages eight other courses in Massachusetts and one in New Hampshire. 2017 Joseph S. Garske Collegiate Grant Winners Announced

Nine college-bound children of members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America have been announced as recipients of the one-time grants to fund their education at an accredited college or trade school. Charles River CC Reaches $120,000 Settlement with Employees

A group of 99 waitstaff sued the Newton, Mass., club, alleging that a 22% service charge added to diners’ restaurant tabs and catered events was not shared with them, as required by state law. The club maintains it never withheld tips from employees, either intentionally or unintentionally.
