The Lake Ozark, Mo., property will allow golfers on its The Cove and The Ridge golf courses to pay for the amount of time spent playing, rather than a set number of holes, though the traditional pricing will still be available. “Local golfers and leisure guests want to play for whatever small window of time they have,” said Director of Golf Matt Tausig.
Funded through the Environmental Institute for Golf and Syngenta, the program provides $1,500 scholarships to the children and grandchildren of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America members who have been active for five or more consecutive years.
After David Van Auken of Bass Lake CC earned a benefit from the Melrose Leadership Academy earlier this year, his son Kurt was one of 20 winners of grants awarded to children of the association’s membership.
