The Homer Glen, Ill., property closed last year, and while the Village Board plans to transform the 103-acre property into a public park, that could still be a few years away. In the meantime, the village is determining whether there is interest in operating the property as a golf course.

Though the Homer Glen, Ill., property was purchased out of foreclosure in December for $3.3 million, some residents are calling for it to continue to be operated as a golf course until redevelopment plans are in motion.
