Hillcrest Municipal GC Seeks Bids for Project

The $100,000 project at the Jamestown, N.D., golf course will rebuild or replace 20 bunkers and redesign some fairways. The city hired Herfort Norby Golf Course Architects in June to provide design services and create a master plan for improvements. The city has set a goal of completing the work by October 1.

Jack Bietz, 22, has served as Director of Inside Operations/General Manager of the club for the past two months after he was approached by the club to take over as he interned with a financial firm. The club, which currently has between 170 and 175 members, has all 18 holes playable for the first time since 2009, and a newly built bridge adjoining the No. 8 tee box and No. 7 green has “already paid for itself.”
