After two years of negotiations between the club and the community association of the Lake Wylie, S.C. neighborhood, the club’s Board decided to break off talks that would have led to the sale of non-golf facilities, including the clubhouse, pools, fitness center, tennis facility and parking lots, to the community association in return for $2.5 million in improvement investment and access for resident members. A club Board member stressed that while more members would be helpful, the club is “not in dire straits at all.”
