Former Owner Buys Back DragonRidge CC
Rich MacDonald sold the Henderson, Nev., golf property to Pacific Links International in 2014 for $11 million, and is now buying the property back after Pacific Links opted to liquidate some of its U.S. holdings. MacDonald plans to beautify the golf course and upgrade the clubhouse by renovating the lobby and cocktail lounge to achieve a “higher-end feel.”

DragonRidge CC Sold for $11M
Canada-based Pacific Links International has acquired the private, Henderson, Nev., property, which includes a 39,000-sq. ft. clubhouse, 2,600-sq. ft. golf instruction facility, and 15,000-sq. ft. fitness center. The property is the third in the Las Vegas market acquired by Pacific Links, joining SouthShore Golf Club and Southern Highlands Golf Club, which were purchased in 2011.
Henderson, Nev. Seeks to Revive Two Lake Las Vegas Courses Through Rezoning
The Falls and Reflection Bay golf courses in the development, which was forced into bankruptcy in 2008, have been abandoned for four years. But the Henderson City Council has approved zone changes in support of a “Green Grass Project” that it, and remaining stakeholders, hope will help bring the properties back to life. John Paulson, a New York hedge fund manager, is in contract to purchase the courses as part of the plan, which one planning commissioner called “the rocket fuel to take this community forward.”
