Erin Hills Closes Eight Months Before 2017 U.S. Open
The Hartford, Wis., facility will host next year’s event, and closed last week to ensure the golf course looks its best for a worldwide audience, and will reopen for rounds on June 18, 2017. By comparison, Chambers Bay closed to the public in mid-May prior to hosting the 2015 U.S. Open on June 15.

Bandon Dunes Developer Plans Wisconsin Resort
Mike Keiser, the Chicago businessman who transformed Bandon, Ore., into a premier golf destination, is planning to build Sand Valley, a multi-course resort on sand dunes in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. Keiser has signed an agreement to purchase 2.4 square miles of land with a closing date of December 17, at which point he is expected to name the architect for the first course.
