Renovated tennis courts and a new pickleball complex are part of an overall renovation at the North Naples, Fla. property that will also include a 150-seat outdoor-dining area, a full kitchen, bar and firepit. There are also plans to add two bocce ball courts and a pavilion.
The management company was selected by Robert Weiss and Efrem Gerszberg, who recently agreed to purchase the Woodmere, N.Y. property. The new owners also announced an “aggressive new membership program,” available to the first 30 new members, that is “meant to breathe new life into this historic club.”
Highlights of the eight-month project included transforming five restaurants from “traditional eateries to destination-dining venues,” with a sushi/tapas bar added to one. New outdoor-terrace space was created to expand event-planning options, and the 35,000-sq. ft., “oasis-inspired” Spa & Fitness Center was refreshed.
Expanded fitness facilities, more casual and outside dining opportunities and an expanded kitchen that provide more flexibility to operate multiple functions simultaneously are key features of the project at the Florida club, which also saw an expansion of the clubhouse from 15,000 to 24,000 sq. ft., and the addition of a covered second-floor terrace.
After a 100-year flood threatened to wipe out its tennis program for good, Radley Run CC set a new strategic course for recreational excellence.
