A tennis pro at Denver Country Club for the past two decades, Lays passed away on December 31, following a career that included teaching at Pinehurst Country Club, Rolling Hills Country Club, and Cherry Hills Country Club. Lays’ love of tennis extended to charitable efforts, as he collected and donated rackets to a dozen developing countries, and conducted tennis clinics throughout Africa.
