Konnect is located on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, around the corner from Rockefeller Center, with about 5,000 square feet of usable space and featuring eight hitting bays, as well as craft beers and an extensive food menu. Memberships are offered for $500/year and plans are also in place to host Wall Street outings and high-school golf team practices.
2016 PGA of America National Award Winners Honored at 100th PGA Annual Meeting
PGA Golf Professional of the Year Cary Cozby and PGA Teacher of the Year Mike Adams were among those honored on November 9 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City. Matt Brown, who won the PGA Merchandiser of the Year – Public Category for his work at Highlands Golf Club, was also elected Mayor of Gearhart, Ore., where he won with nearly 80% of the vote.
New Jersey PGA Names Award Winners; Florida CMAA Announces New Board
Canoe Brook CC was named 2015 Club of the Year and its Director of Golf, George Dietz II, earned the section’s Bill Strausbaugh Award. David Reasoner of The Ridgewood Country Club was named Golf Professional of the Year. For the Florida chapter, Jeff Hartigan of The Oaks Club will now serve as President.
First PGA Master Professional Program Graduates Announced
The PGA of America has announced that Eric Alpenfels, PGA Director of Instruction at Pinehurst Country Club, and Mike Adams, PGA Director of Instruction at both Hamilton Farms Golf Club and Medalist Golf Club, are the first PGA Professionals to ever graduate from the new PGA MPP 2.0 Program. With this honor, they have achieved the highest educational designation that can be attained by a PGA member.

The private Gladstone, N.J., club selected the management firm to take over operations. Located about an hour west of New York City, Hamilton Farm Golf Club features 36 holes of golf, including the nation’s only USGA-rated 18-hole, par-3 course, and was once part of a 5,000-acre farm established in 1911, with many of the original buildings still standing, including barns and horse stables.
