Textron, which offers E-Z-GO golf cars, Jacobsen turf care equipment, and Cushman utility and hospitality vehicles to golf courses and resorts, has acquired TKVGPS, a provider of GPS-based fleet management solutions and GPS technologies. TKVGPS will continue to operate from its facilities in Vancouver, Canada and Pitesti, Romania, with its workforce of 36 employees largely intact.
The brand name is an acronym for Electronic Lithium Technology, which the manufacturer is touting as a “game-changer” for introducing lighter weight and significant energy and cost efficiencies to the golf car market. The ELiTE series will include six models, each of which will come with a five-year, unlimited-amp-hour warranty.
