The Tampa Sports Authority plans to fumigate the golf course on May 9 with a pesticide called Curfew that kills nematodes. When the pesticide was used in 2008, some residents claimed it made them sick, and in May 4, a handful of neighbors voiced their concerns about the safety of the pesticide during a protest.
Tampa Sports Authority Uses Controversial Pesticide on Golf Courses

Residents claim that the agency did not adequately notify them of its use of the chemical last year at the Rogers Park Golf Course.
