Three months after soliciting proposals to operate the municipal golf course, the city has opted to keep all aspects of the golf course operation in-house, despite a struggle over the last few years to cover expenses. Three bidders submitted lease proposals in November.

The Philadelphia-based Commonwealth Golf Group, which owns two golf courses in Pennsylvania and one in Florida, has purchased the 175-acre property for an undisclosed sum. Former club President John Skibski said he does not anticipate immediate or drastic changes to the club, though the company may pursue upgrades in the future.
