Property Tax Windfall Will Fund Glenview GC Clubhouse Update
The club, operated by Billy Casper Golf for the Cincinnati (Ohio) Recreation Commission, will get an $800,000 upgrade that will include the construction of an open-air pavilion. All told, $2.8 million in property-tax refunds generated by a Ohio Supreme Court decision will be applied to the city’s six courses, to also fund improvements to cart paths, parking lots, irrigation systems and mowing equipment fleets.
Kenwood CC Completes $15M Centennial Project
The Cincinnati, Ohio club’s renovation included a new driving range, short game practice area, indoor practice facility, three new holes on the Kenview golf course, and new tee boxes on all 36 holes. Ohio Supreme Court to Review Golf Course Tax Case
A March 6 decision by the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals would free the city of Cincinnati from property tax liability on its six golf courses. In an appeal filed April 7, Tax Commissioner Joseph Testa said the ruling was “unreasonable and unlawful,” citing nine errors of fact and law.
