The golf course at Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort in Augusta, Mich., hosted a partial opening last fall, and will open all 18 holes this spring. The golf course is on a former apple orchard and due to its location, wind will play a role in the layout.
Golf Course Renovations in Ohio, Michigan, Connecticut Set for 2016 Openings
Moraine Country Club in Kettering, Ohio has been closed since early July for a renovation, and members should be able to play by June. Stoatin Brae, the sixth course at Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort in Augusta, Mich., is set to be complete by mid-2016, while Keney Park Golf Course’s $5.7 million renovation will be revealed in Hartford, Conn., by May.

The Augusta, Mich., property’s newest golf course, named Stoatin Brae, meaning Grand Hill in Gaelic, is scheduled to open in summer 2016. The property runs along one of the highest elevated ridges in the region, and the golf course will include no water hazards, with wind offering the biggest challenge.
