Crane Creek CC Plans $3.5M Renovation
The Boise, Idaho club will close its front nine in September 2014 and reopen them in May 2015 as part of the renovation, while the outdoor tennis courts will close in October 2014 and reopen in April 2015. The golf course greens will be rebuilt according to USGA specifications, while the tennis complex will add two indoor and two outdoor courts, making it the largest country club tennis facility in Idaho.
Charlie Turner Named Chambers’ Director of Interior Design
The Baltimore-based planning, architecture and interior design firm noted that Turner’s portfolio of hospitality projects, including restaurants, spas, fitness centers and resorts was an “important draw” for Chambers. Turner is a certified Interior Designer at the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, and a graduate-level adjunct professor at the Corcoran College of Art and Design.

The city council in Boise, Idaho is scheduled to vote on whether to accept Dave Hendrickson’s donation of the 140-acre club, which includes equipment and an 8,000-sq. ft. clubhouse. One caveat in the agreement is that the city must maintain the property as a golf course or open space.
Grass Fire Burns Four Acres Near Shadow Valley GC
A man trying to smoke out a badger from a culvert ignited the August 14 blaze, just northeast of the golf course in the foothills. Fire crews contained the fire in about two hours, avoiding any damage to structures, people or livestock.
