In an agreement with the city of Boca Raton, Fla., the golf course and the Boca West Master Association will receive treated wastewater for irrigation for the next 20 years. The city will make more than $310,000 each year through the deal.

The project at the Boca Raton, Fla. club, slated for completion in December 2016, will create a new Golf and Activities building that will include a Sports Bar restaurant with a New York street-scene backdrop and 30 high-def TVs, along with a 5,000-sq. ft. Golf Shoppe and activities ballroom.

CMAA Names 100 New Certified Club Managers
The CCM designation indicates that a club management professional has completed a rigorous course of study and training, and shows a dedication to proficiency and expertise in club management. The two classes are the final group of managers to earn their CCM under the Club Managers Association of America’s previous requirements, as new requirements became effective following the first administered CCM exam in January 2014.
Ryan Harrison Joins Boca West CC as Tennis Touring Professional
After opening its new $1.8 million Tennis Center last April, the Boca Raton, Fla. club has brought in Harrison, an ATP Tour World player who has been ranked as high as 43rd, to enhance the club’s tennis programs and take the next steps to “revitalizing and rebuilding Boca West as a tennis destination.”

Boca West CC Hosts 23rd Annual Charity Extravaganza
The two-day event held at the Boca Raton, Fla., club resulted in nearly $500,000 raised for children’s charities, including the Special Olympics, SOS Children’s Villages, Toys for Tots, the George Snow Scholarship Fund and The Unicorn Children’s Foundation. A group of country club managers, club members, golf industry representatives and local executives gathered to raise the funds through a golf tournament and gala.
