Alex Turner, Sous Chef at the Bellevue, Wash., club, was named the 2014 CMAA Evergreen Chapter Chef of the Year after winning the 9th annual Chef’s Competition on January 27. For the fifth year, the chapter is sending the winner of the competition to C&RB‘s annual chefs conference, which will be held in San Antonio on March 2-4.
The city-owned, 154-acre property will likely be sold to Principal Financial for industrial development after the city council approved a purchase-and-sale agreement. The city plans to immediately pay off its remaining $5.8 million golf course debt.
