The semi-private facility in Laurel, Md., was recently purchased by Alan Cohen, a first-time golf course owner, from former owner/operator Fore Golf Partners. A five-year contract has been signed with Cohen for Landscapes to control club and golf course operations. Patuxent Greens has a Russell Roberts-designed course and is planning a clubhouse renovation that will include development of a 250-guest banquet space.
Under the plan, nine of the Baltimore, Md., club’s 27 holes of golf would be eliminated to make room for 312 townhouses, detached homes, and villas, leaving an 18-hole course.
