Southward Ho CC Completes $3.5M Renovation
The Bay Shore, N.Y., property’s project renovated the reception area and opened up the Tiffany Room to flow into the lounge. The newly added ladies locker room features new wood lockers, a restroom and card room, while the kitchen was significantly expanded, a new grill room was created, and a covered patio was added.
Knollwood CC Restoration Nears Completion
The Elmsford, N.Y., property’s golf course is in the final phase of a major renovation and is expected to be complete in the spring. The club began working on the plan for the restoration in 2010, with work continuing intermittently since 2011. The final phase is focusing on bunker location and reshaping, tree removal and fairway changes.
Omni Hotels & Resorts Enhances Historic Bedford Springs and Homestead Properties
Omni Bedford Springs (Pa.), a National Historic Landmark established in 1804, will unveil a new 5,000-sq. ft. facility in the summer of 2017 with a restaurant and golf shop. The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va. is enhancing its William Flynn-designed Cascades mountain course. Improvements are also underway at the Omni Orlando (Fla.) Resort at ChampionsGate.

In Quechee, Vt., The Quechee Club is set to host the Third Annual Quechee Collegiate Challenge, for 33 men’s and ladies teams from 29 Division I and II schools in the Northeast.

The Elmsford, N.Y., club was founded in 1894, with the original golf course designed by Lawrence Van Etten, followed by a redesign by A.W. Tillinghast and Seth Raynor in 1926. The property includes a clubhouse with three dining spaces, fitness center, and swimming pool complex.
