E-Z-GO Donates Vehicles
E-Z-GO, a manufacturer of golf cars and utility vehicles, has donated six TXT golf cars to the Wounded Warrior Center at Camp Pendleton, Calif., for use in shuttling Marines who have sustained wounds in combat. The golf cars will be used to transport Marines to the nearby Naval Hospital from the Wounded Warrior Center, a 26-bed facility that opened in August for treatment of Marines undergoing long-term rehabilitation. Marines at the center have been released from the hospital, but not cleared to return to their units.
Headway Fungicide Now Registered in California
Headway fungicide from Syngenta is now registered for use in California. Headway provides golf-course superintendents and lawn-care operators with the means to control a broad spectrum of turf diseases.
Callaway Golf Partners Launches Shopping Web site
Callaway Golf Company has launched Shop.CallawayGolf.com, an alliance between Callaway Golf and its network of authorized U.S. retailers. The online shopping experience links consumers and golf retailers by permitting the consumer to place an order through Callaway Golf’s Web site, and have it fulfilled by a local participating retailer. The site also will be accessible via www.CallawayGolf.com .
Steelite International USA Breaks Ground
Steelite International Americas will relocate its distribution center to a new 62,000-sq.-ft. facility in New Castle, Pa., in the summer of 2007. The new corporate headquarters will feature a 50,000-sq.-ft. distribution warehouse and a 12,000-sq.-ft. administration office and product showroom. The building will house executive offices, sales and marketing divisions, an operations team and a full-service customer service center.
