Toro Co. Selected to The Institute Victory Club
The Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), has selected The Toro Company to become the first member of the Victory Club, recognizing its cumulative giving of more than $1 million over the last 19 years.
"The Institute could not have accomplished what it has without the support of Toro," says GCSAA CEO Steve Mona. "Toro has been a true leader in fostering environmental stewardship and in backing the efforts of The Environmental Institute for Golf."
Toro's support of The Institute and association activities since 1987 includes contributions to GCSAA's 75th Anniversary, Platinum Tee Club, the Dr. Michael J. Hurdzan Endowment, "Investing in the Beauty of Golf" endowment campaign, participation in the Golf Industry Show Silent Auction, the Szafranski Grant, EDGE: Golf's online resource, the Watson Fellowship, and GCSAA's Golf Course Environmental Profile project.
PGA Chooses Jacobsen
The PGA of America has selected Jacobsen, a Textron Inc. company, as its official turf equipment supplier. In addition, Jacobsen will be the exclusive turf equipment supplier to PGA Golf Properties.
The 10-year agreement comes as The PGA of America begins major renovation efforts on two of its championship facilities: the PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky., host of the 2008 Ryder Cup.
E-Z-GO Continues to Move Universal Orlando
E-Z-GO, manufacturer of golf cars and utility vehicles, has renewed its contract with Universal Orlando to be the exclusive provider of golf cars and utility vehicles for the theme-park destination. Under the terms of the agreement, E-Z-GO will provide an array of vehicles to the Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure parks, along with the CityWalk retail, dining and entertainment complex, for moving support personnel and services throughout the grounds. The renewal extends a relationship between E-Z-GO and Universal which began in 2001. C&RB
