Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Fla. unveiled its $7.5 million facility project January 22, which includes a brand-new clubhouse, new cart barn, putting green, landscaping, and relocation and upgrade to the current ninth hole as it is transformed into the 18th hole on the Classic course, the Space Coast Daily reported.
The new clubhouse is approximately 14,000 sq. ft. and includes two banquet rooms, a private dining room, an indoor/outdoor bar, men and women’s locker rooms and pro shop, the Daily reported. The existing clubhouse will be kept and repurposed once the new clubhouse is complete.
“The membership is excited to have these new facilities,” said Suntree Country Club General Manager Steve Lamontagne.
C+RB first reported on the project in November 2020.
Established in 1975, Suntree Country Club is a private, member-owned country club exclusively, the Daily reported. The campus offers 36 holes of championship golf, a state-of-the-art short game practice facility, eight lighted tennis courts and a large multi-purpose sports court for a variety of recreational activities.
The dining venues and social calendar feature activities and special member events for the entire family, the Daily reported.
“This new clubhouse will be a great addition to the Suntree community, as well as give our Suntree Country Club members a new and improved club experience,” said Lamontagne.
Previous enhancements to the club include updates to the tennis facility that now feature six hydro-courts along with upgraded fencing, LED lights and light poles, as well as landscaping around all the tennis courts, the Daily reported.
The Suntree Country Club has recently hit a cap for their Equity Golf Membership and are operating off of a waitlist, the Daily reported. Currently, there is no waitlist for social and tennis memberships.
