The month of March is in full swing, which means warmer weather, more outdoor activities, and, of course, the release of C+RB’s March 2026 issue.
The March digital issue was our top story this week. Featuring Club + Resort Chef’s 2026 40 Under 40 class, a profile on the 2026 Chef to Chef location at The Broadmoor, and articles on clubhouse design, marketing to prospective members and more, it’s a can’t-miss issue.
Also among this week’s top stories is news that Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., has broken ground on the new Links Course slated for completion in November 2026. Once again proving that our industry is constantly expanding—and readers want to know about it.
March is also widely recognized as Employee Appreciation Month, making our feature on an employee wellness initiative particularly timely. Emily Roeckle, Director of People and Culture at Hunters Run CC, expanded the club’s usual employee wellness day to a whole week with interactive activities and prizes. She dives into the importance of the initiative, the planning behind it and much more in the article.
Of course, no weekly roundup would be complete without People on the Move. This week, we highlighted 16 industry professionals who were promoted or newly hired. We’ve also started incorporating photos whenever possible—so readers can finally put a name to a face.
Finally, our last top story of this week focuses on Walpole Country Club’s new GM leading the club through a multimillion-dollar clubhouse renovation. A unique aspect of this renovation story is how the club is funding it. A tiered structure combining a member’s age and membership tenure is used to calculate the contribution level of each member.
As we move closer to spring, we’ll continue keeping our finger on the pulse of the club and resort industry to see what’s next.
