The club, built in 2010 and acquired by the Dormie Network in 2017, was ranked as Golf Digest‘s #12 Golf Course in North Carolina in 2019 and Golfweek‘s #3 Best New Course upon opening.
“This is a very exciting time to be a [Dormie Network] member,” said Tony Chapman, General Manager of the Dormie Club, which features the only original Coore-Crenshaw golf course design in North Carolina.
“We’re pleased to have a presence in the home of American golf and give national members an opportunity to play the course and take in the history Pinehurst has to offer, while staying in an onsite cottage,” Chapman added.
The Dormie Club is one of six private destination golf clubs owned and operated by the Dormie Network, each of which has experienced significant renovations and/or expansions following their acquisition. The network does not pass on any assessments to members and holds no debt on any of its properties.
The national Dormie Network of private destination golf clubs also includes ArborLinks in Nebraska City, Neb.; Ballyhack Golf Club in Roanoke, Va.; Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas; Hidden Creek Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.; and Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind.
