The first phase of the Morristown, N.J., property’s project renovated the main level of the main clubhouse, adding member dining and a bar, updated restrooms, and cosmetic improvements. The second phase will be complete in time for the 2016 summer season.
As the summer quickly approaches, Spring Brook Country Club in Morristown, N.J., is welcoming members with new facilities through a renovation project that addresses the changing landscape of the club industry toward family-oriented amenities.
The extensive project totaling $4.5 million is comprised of two phases, the first of which began in October 2014 and was just completed in late March 2015. This phase includes interior renovation of the main level of the main clubhouse to include new member dining and bar, renovated restrooms and cosmetic improvements. The new dining concept will be a flexible, casual dining area to enhance the social feel.
Phase two to revamp the pool facility will break ground in September 2015, for completion by the 2016 summer season. This project will transform the pool pavilion to become a summer clubhouse with more elaborate changing rooms; future fitness facility; and dining venue with a more restaurant feel of a la carte food options and seating, no longer a typical snack bar.
“We are transforming our club to fit the needs of today’s members,” said General Manager David Bachman. “We are excited for the future of Spring Brook, and are thrilled to welcome our members back this spring.”
The project is being directed by Judd Brown Designs and Jefferson Group Architects, “Spring Brook Country Club is at the forefront of industry changes,” said Judd Brown, Principal at Judd Brown Designs. “The need to appeal to a family is often centered on the amenities of a robust pool facility for everyone in the family to enjoy, and that is what phase two of this project will accomplish.”
