On a first-come, limited-space basis, 50 registrants for the 2014 Chef to Chef Conference will have the opportunity to attend a Sunday morning class on Latin flavors at the Culinary Institute of America San Antonio. Instruction, demonstrations and tastings will be led by one of the CIA’s renowned “World of Flavors” experts, and lunch and a full tour of the campus will also be included.
A special opportunity has been arranged for attendees of Club & Resort Business’ Sixth Annual Chef to Chef Conference, which will be held March 2-4, 2014 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter.
San Antonio is the Culinary Institute of America’s third and newest campus, a state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2010.
The special class will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM on Sunday, March 2. The select group will gather in the CIA school’s second-floor demonstration kitchen for instruction on Latin flavors, which are the foundation of the San Antonio school’s curriculum. The class, conducted by one of the CIA’s renowned “World of Flavors” experts, will include discussion of foods from Spain, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
After a tasting of what was prepared during the demonstration, the group will have lunch in the school’s main dining room, followed by a full tour of the campus. Dishes that were demonstrated in the class will also be served at lunch, providing additional opportunity for all club chef attendees to compare notes with their colleagues on how the foods could enhance their clubs’ menus.
The cost for attending the class will be $200, and you can secure your spot at https://ciaspecialevent.eventbrite.com.
Remember: you must be registered for the 2014 Chef to Chef Conference in order to sign up for this one-of-a-kind event.
