SouthWood Golf Club—located in Tallahassee, Fla. and managed by Billy Casper Golf—will host “Get Golf Ready,” the nationally branded program created and administered by the World Golf Foundation.
“Get Golf Ready” targets millions of U.S. adults who have never played golf, have minimal previous connection to the game or need rejuvenation after a hiatus. Designed to be conducted in comfortable and enjoyable settings, participants are provided training on rules, etiquette and values, and a series of five introductory lessons in small groups, which are guided by trained PGA and LPGA professionals.
Fall sessions at SouthWood begin Thursday, September 17th and will run for five consecutive weeks. The cost to participate is $99 per person and the course will provide equipment if necessary.
“This is a perfect opportunity for any individual that wants to learn or relearn the game but doesn’t know where to turn,” says Beth Murphy, General Manager of SouthWood Golf Club. “It is a friendly environment filled with helpful instructors and useful tips to set players down the right path.”
