The LPGA recently announced that the 2013 Solheim Cup will be held at Colorado Golf Club in Parker, Colo., just outside Denver.
The Solheim Cup is the women’s golf equivalent of the Ryder Cup and features a contest between 12 professionals from the United States and 12 from Europe. It is staged every two years.
This year’s competition will be held from Aug. 21-23 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. The teams were to be announced at the end of the Women’s British Open on Sunday.
It will be held at Killeen Castle in Ireland in 2011.
