The Rockdale Grill is appealing to both golfers and locals for quality yet casual dining options.
Shining Rock Golf Club, Northbridge, Mass., recently opened it’s Rockdale Grill and the restaurant is earning praise for the exceptional menu offerings, which are billed as a selection of “the greatest hits from New England.”
Executive Chef, Shawn Balian, a Hopedale native, is enthusiastic about the potential to develop a solid culinary reputation for the club’s Rockdale Grill.
“After growing up in the area, the idea of highlighting local authentic foods is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time,” said Balian. “We have a great golf course at Shining Rock and the food should complement that experience.”
Balian particularly enjoys making creative New England local seafood dishes and one current August menu dinner item is a New England baked haddock and lobster pie.
In keeping with the industrial heritage of its historic Blackstone Valley location, Shining Rock’s Rockdale Grill is offering straightforward New England fare at attractive prices. The summer lunch menu selections include: a choice of two Maine lobster rolls; Buzzy’s hot roast beef sandwich, which is a tribute to Boston’s former popular Sculley Square establishment, “Buzzy’s Roast Beef”; Portuguese style spicy stuffed Quahog clams; fried clam roll; Maine popcorn shrimp cocktail; house made clam chowder; burgers, salads and more.
