Shadow Wood CC Unveils Tennis Facility Project

By Brandi Shaffer | October 23, 2017

The Bonita Springs, Fla., property has wrapped up a five-month renovation that rebuilt all nine courts, installing new bases, irrigation, lines, nets and Har-Tru clay. The facilities now offer an enhanced landscape design, a new water feature, and stadium seating for more than 250 spectators.

Shadow Wood Country Club in Bonita Springs, Fla., has completed a five-month renovation project that enhanced its tennis courts and facilities.

The tennis courts underwent a complete rebuild. All nine courts were stripped down to dirt to install new bases, irrigation, lines, nets and Har-Tru clay. The improved, state-of-the-art modified hydrocourts offer improved playing conditions.

The tennis facilities feature enhanced landscape design and a new water feature. The new stadium effect on Court 5 can accommodate more than 250 spectators.

Shadow Wood celebrated the project with a tennis grand reopening event that included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a tennis exhibition featuring top area professionals, and a cocktail reception for members.

The renovation was implemented following a member vote for the project, with 89% in favor of enhancements to both the tennis courts and golf courses.
