The two North Carolina properties represent the first agreements for the management firm since its acquisition by ClubCorp in September.
Sequoia Golf Management has been named to manage and operate two golf properties in North Carolina—Sequoyah National Golf Club in Whittier and River Run Country Club in Davidson.

Located 45 minutes west of Asheville, N.C., Sequoyah National Golf Club offers a par-72, 6,600-yard, 18-hole Robert Trent Jones II design with views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Amenities also include a driving range, putting greens, and chipping area. Located next to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, the property provides opportunities for stay-and-play packages.
Sequoyah National had been managed by Troon Golf since its opening in 2009 (http://clubandresortbusiness.com/2009/05/11/troon-golf-selected-to-manage-sequoyah-national-gc/)
Located north of Charlotte, N.C.,River Run Country Club, contracted as the site of the Web.com Tour Finals Chiquita Classic in 2013-2015, features an 18-hole championship par-72, 7,100-yard Robert Walker-designed golf course. Amenities at the private club also include a tennis complex with nine clay courts, three hard courts and four indoor courts; a spacious swimming pool with 27-foot waterslides and a lazy river and a children’s wading pool; a state-of-the-art fitness center; formal and informal dining and elegant private event space.
The addition of Sequoyah National and River Run continues the expansion of ClubCorp’s overall portfolio of owned and operated clubs, with more than 200 locations.
