September delivered the first positive year-over-year gain since February with Golf Playable Hours (GPH) up 3% for the month, says a report by Pellucid Corp., a Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based consulting firm. This slightly reduced the negative Year-to-Date (YtD) weather impact as compared to a year ago.
Looking back on August rounds demand as reported by Golf Datatech/NGF, August registered a slight decline. However, the Year-to-Date utilization held steady at 53%, which is even with the 2010 year-end value of 53%.
