Omni Hotels has appointed Scott Stuckey as General Manager of Omni Bedford Springs Resort, a historic (circa 1796) resort in Bedford, Pa. that was reopened in 2007 after a $120 million renovation and expansion (see “The Reawakening of Bedford Springs Resort,” C&RB, December 2007).
Stuckey has been with Omni since 2005, where he previously served as General Manager of the Omni Jacksonville Hotel. Prior to joining Omni Hotels, Stuckey held general manager positions at various Marriott Hotels.
Omni Hotels took over management of the resort on January 1, replacing Benchmark Hospitality International, which had originally been retained by Bedford Resort Partners, Ltd., the Texas-based investment group that acquired the historic property in 1998 and took nearly 10 years to get it prepared for its reopening in the summer of 2007.
