The property has added the Nelson Room, named after club founder Bill Nelson, to its grill area, as well as an activity center next to the fitness center, and an expanded men’s locker room.
San Luis Obispo (Calif.) Country Club has recently completed another addition to its facility.
The property has added 900 sq. ft. to the Grill area, creating a new room known as the Nelson Room, named after club founder Bill Nelson. The Nelson Room is for adults over 21 and is the only room where cards and dice are played.
The club also added a 600-sq. ft. activity center next to the fitness center. In addition to child care, the center is used for wellness classes and various social events, and serves as tennis tournament headquarters. The deck allows adults to watch tennis or relax.
The men’s locker room was expanded by 600 sq. ft. to allow for some much-needed additional lockers and a Jacuzzi and steam room.
C&RB featured San Luis Obispo CC in its January 2014 cover story (“Restoring the California Dream“).
