Citing strong membership growth following a four-month renovation, the club is looking to hire 30 full- and part-time employees for its food and beverage, guest services, and maintenance departments. The $300,000 upgrade modernized the golf course, added furnishings, fixtures and equipment to the clubhouse, renovated the foyer, expanded the patios and created an indoor/outdoor environment for the mixed grill.
Following a four-month renovation, Mesa (Ariz.) Country Club is looking to hire as a result of strong membership growth, the Phoenix Business Journal reported.
The golf club hopes to hire 30 full- and part-time employees for the following positions: servers, servers’ assistants, bartenders, golf guest services personnel, golf shop staff, facilities maintenance personnel, locker room attendants and kitchen staff, the Business Journal reported.
The country club began $300,000 worth of renovations in May, said Jeff Lessig, club operations director of MCC. C&RB reported on the unveiling of the renovation in August (“Mesa (Ariz.) CC to Reveal Renovation August 31”).
“It involved aesthetic and strategic enhancements as well as modernization of the golf course infrastructure,” Lessig said. “Primarily, this included rebuilding the golf course greens and resurfacing them with Tif-Dwarf Bermuda, rebuilding and reconfiguring the bunkering, modernizing the irrigation system and improving the cart paths.”
Additionally, the clubhouse received enhancements such as new furnishings, fixtures and equipment. The foyer also was completely renovated and the club expanded its patios and created an inviting indoor/outdoor environment for the mixed grill, the Business Journal reported.
Because of the improvements as well as newly introduced membership categories, the country club has added more than 25 member families in the past few months, Lessig said.
In addition to golf, MCC offers three dining options, six lighted tennis and pickle ball courts, a junior Olympic pool, spa and golf practice facilities, the Business Journal reported.
Details for the positions, along with the employment application, are available on the employment page at the club’s website, www.mesacountryclub.com.
