Limited space remains for one-day seminars on renovation and expansion projects at Congressional Country Club and Royal Oaks Country Club. Both seminars qualify for CMI Workshop credits.
Available registration space is quickly approaching capacity for upcoming one-day seminars in Club & Resort Business’ “Design & Renovation Insights” workshop series, which highlights notable projects and presents valuable information on current and future design and renovation trends in the club industry.
On Monday, October 24, in conjunction with the National Capital Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), C&RB will present a one-day seminar, “Inside the Congressional Country Club Expansion,” at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md. The seminar, sponsored by Ferry, Hayes & Allen Designers and Chapman Coyle Chapman Architects, will give attendees an exclusive, inside look at the planning and details behind the club’s addition of its new Founders Pub, Fitness Center, library, “history hall” and three swimming pools.
On Monday, November 7, in conjunction with CMAA’s Texas Lone Star Chapter, C&RB will present a one-day seminar, “The Royal Oaks CC Renovation and Expansion,” at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, Texas. The seminar, sponsored by CCI Club Design, will give attendees an exclusive, inside look at the planning and details behind the club’s recent renovation and expansion, which included a new fitness facility, golf shop and training center, casual grill, bar lounge, and extensive outdoor terraces.
Attendance at each seminar will qualify for CMAA continuing education credits (a CMI Workshop test will be administered at the end of the program).
The programs, which will each begin with registration/morning refreshments at 8:00 AM and conclude with post-seminar receptions that will begin at 4:30 PM, will each include:
- insights into current design trends for club facilities;
- presentations by the clubs’ management and Board members on their projects’ planning, history, execution and benefits;
- panel discussions on effective approaches for project financing, project management and specific considerations for individual operating departments such as fitness and food-and-beverage;
- complete clubhouse and property tours;
- continental breakfast and lunch;
- post-seminar receptions, and opportunities for one-on-one interaction, with project principals
Registration for each seminar is $100; for more details about each program, including a full agenda and listing of presenters as well as registration details, go to clubandresortbusiness.com/DRInsights (for the Congressional CC seminar) and (http://drinsightsroyaloakscc.eventbrite.com/) (for the Royal Oaks CC seminar).
C&RB’s Design and Innovation Insights seminar series began with a highly acclaimed one-day workshop, “Inside Charlotte Country Club’s Historic Clubhouse Restoration,” that was held in February at Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, N.C.
