The World Pickleball Open will be held December 12-15 at PGA Village Verano in Port St. Lucie, Fla. It will be the first event sanctioned by the USA Pickleball Association at the new facility, which is scheduled to open in October as South Florida’s largest private pickleball center. Limited space is available to register for both the Pro and Skills Divisions.
Registration is now open for the inaugural World Pickleball Open (WPO) hosted by Kolter Homes. The event will be held between December 12–15, 2019 at Kolter’s brand-new PGA Village Verano Pickleball Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla., which is set to open in October (https://clubandresortbusiness.com/pga-village-verano-plans-large-private-pickleball-center/).
With 26 pickleball courts plus a championship court for tournaments, multiple viewing areas with seating, and an event lawn with a pavilion area, the new facility is estimated to be the largest private pickleball center currently under construction in South Florida. This will be the first event sanctioned by the USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) at the PGA Village facility.
The WPO will be a USAPA Tier 4 Sanctioned Event spanning four days of pros and skills division competition in both singles and doubles, with pro division participants competing for up to $15,000 in prize money. The event will kick off on Wednesday, December 11, with clinics and exhibitions hosted by Engage Pickleball, one of the leading pickleball paddle manufacturers in the world.

Registration includes a limited-edition inaugural WPO t-shirt and goody bag. All participants registered before October 31 will receive complimentary admission to a session of the 2020 Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com, a fan favorite-event on the men’s Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour.
For the Pro Divisions of the WPO, there will be $25 event registration fee and a $110 entry fee per person.
For the Skills Divisions, there will be a $55 Event Registration Fee and a $15 Registration Fee per event entered.
