The planned Tuscaloosa, Ala., property is proposing a membership package that includes locked-in game-day reservations and transportation services to University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide home games for seven years, as well as other perks.
Plans are in the works for a new 5-star hotel to be built in center-city Tuscaloosa, Ala., a prime area for University of Alabama game day activity, Alabama.com reported.
Like many cities that are home to beloved teams, the game day atmosphere completely transforms downtown when the Crimson Tide are home for a game, something the developers of the Regent Club Hotel plan to capitalize on with their seven-year game day membership, Alabama.com reported.
Robert Schwartz, developer and president of National Ventures Group, LLC, in Atlanta, understands the appeal for the game day atmosphere. “This is an opportunity to experience Alabama football weekends on a whole new level—from your own luxurious suite with all the bells and whistles. And, at a locked-in price that’s lower than most, if not all, other area hotels featuring less amenities than The Regent Club Hotel,” Schwartz said.
Schwartz also shared that the hotel wants to offer the packages as a way to make prices more affordable for the rest of the year, something that is only possible with these high-price memberships. “That’s the whole name of the game. We are able to produce a totally new level of quality hotel in the city for a fraction of what we would normally have to charge.”
Memberships will include three-night home game reservations in one of 135 suites, shuttle service to and from Bryant-Denny Stadium, water taxi service across the Black Warrior River, as well as a hospitality suite before and after games and an equity in the hotel, according to the Regent Club Hotel website. The cost of the package is expected to be around $100,000 – $110,000 for seven years, Alabama.com reported.
Developers are conscientious of their guests’ happiness during their stay and will offer “very personalized service,” said Schwartz. They are also prepared to refund members for home game weekends that they cannot attend and plan to rent the suite out, Alabama.com reported.
The Regent Club Hotel plans to begin construction in early 2016, just across the river from the University of Alabama campus, and open in time for 2017 football season, Alabama.com reported.
