ViVA Castle Pub opened to the public this week at the Reading, Pa., club after completing $2 million in renovations. The Adobe Restaurant at the Phoenix club will celebrate its launch on November 20, now featuring an expanded bar and complete interior update.
With $2 million in renovations, including a revamped bar and new Four Seasons sun room, the ViVA Castle Pub opened on Monday to the public at the Reading (Pa.) Country Club, the Reading Eagle reported.
The Tudor-style club castle, originally opened in 1931, has a new grand entrance and an expanded bar and dining area to accommodate 315, including 30 at the bar. The renovated bar includes six 70-inch high-definition TVs, the Eagle reported.
Total square footage open to the public encompasses 10,000 sq. ft., according to Jeffrey Hettinger, ViVA president and CEO. ViVA signed a 15-year lease with Exeter Township, which owns the building. “Exeter selected us to be the stewards of the castle,” he said, adding that more than 90 percent of the menu items are made from scratch, the Eagle reported.
Alan Rogers is vice president of operations, Zachary Trumbauer is the General Manager, and Richard Bender is Executive Chef, the Eagle reported.
Hettinger noted the same menu available at ViVA Bistro & Tapas Lounge in West Reading is in place at ViVA Castle Pub. Lunch prices range from $5.99 to $25.99 and dinner from $13.99 to $25.99, according to Rachael Romig, marketing director. But dinner items are available all day, the Eagle reported.
According to Romig, the upstairs renovations are nearly complete and will be timed for opening on December 7, coinciding with the Exeter Township-based Festival of Lights, the Eagle reported.
The Adobe Restaurant at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club in Phoenix is throwing a launch party on November 20th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to celebrate its restaurant and patio redesign, along with refreshed menu, the Phoenix-based AZ Big Media reported.
The celebration will feature live music from local favorites Nate Nathan and the MacDaddy-o’s Band. Plus, attendees that bring one or more nonperishable items to donate to St. Mary’s Food Bank will receive their first drink for $.01, Media reported.
“Our vision for the Adobe Restaurant was to modernize the space and introduce new menu concepts and fun promotions,” said General Manager Pamela Vincent. “From business lunches to post-round snacks and beers to after work happy hours, The Adobe continues to be the neighborhood go-to for a good time among friends.”
Originally built in 1928 as the Wrigley Mansion’s barn, The Adobe is an iconic Phoenix property nestled against the greens at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. A Biltmore-area favorite, the restaurant underwent a refresh to highlight an expanded bar and complete interior update. The Adobe’s course-facing patio offers new furniture and a fire pit, Media reported.
To honor The Adobe’s legacy, the Fall/Winter menu incorporates more golf-inspired fares including the Hole in One Nachos, the On the Green Burger and the B.L.Tee Sandwich made with crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli on toasted brioche, Media reported.
