The 10,000-sq. ft. facility, which is expected to be complete by Memorial Day weekend, includes indoor and outdoor pools, an expansive deck, aerobics room, retention pond, shade structure, children’s play area, and snack bar.
The Quechee (Vt.) Club is ushering in a new experience for its members, visitors and area guests with the completion of a newly constructed Aquatic Complex and fitness club expansion. The $4.4 million renovation and expansion project is expected to be completed by Memorial Day weekend.
The complex includes new indoor and outdoor pools, an expansive deck surrounding the exterior pool, a larger indoor pool area with an aerobics room, in addition to implementing a new retention pond. A shade structure built along the pool provides an area for rest and relaxation along with zero entry for easy access, a children’s play area and snack bar.
“Transforming the aquatics facility further reflects our club offerings. We are excited to enhance the experience for our members, visitors and local guests,” said General Manager Tim Lewis.
The indoor complex, approximately 10,000 sq. ft., is twice the size of its initial pool offering and includes four lap lanes and an open concept design with natural post and beam architecture, to complement the aesthetics of the clubhouse.
The Quechee Club, which operates under the Quechee Lakes & Landowners Association, includes approximately 1,400 members of all ages. The aquatic complex reflects the wants and needs of all their membership, which includes families with small children, as well as a retired contingency looking for low impact, fitness and recreation.
“Through the expansive upgrades we believe it’s going to be a great addition for the community, the existing members, and we hope to attract more families to the area,” Lewis said.
