Pleasant Harbor Marina and Golf Resort, proposed near Brinnon, Wash., has cleared a hurdle with the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board.
According to an article in the Kitsap Sun, the three-member board said Jefferson County acted appropriately when it approved a comprehensive plan change to allow further work on the proposed $300 million resort. The resort would encompass and improve the existing Pleasant Harbor Marina, which will remain at 284 slips. A “retail village” with 90 condominium units would be added around the marina. An 18-hole golf course would be constructed on a site previously used as a private Thousand Trails campground.
Following another environmental review, the developer will propose a detailed master plan and development agreement. Those documents will describe how the construction will be phased, where specific structures and open space will be located, and what regulations will govern completion of the project.
