A private indoor golf club is coming to Dublin, Ohio, joining a growing field of central Ohio spots to tee off under roof, the Columbus Dispatch reported.
A new one called Intown Golf Club comes with a fee, the Columbus Dispatch reported. Memberships to the club, which will feature eight golf simulators, one putting green and an upscale restaurant and bar, will start around $5,000.
This will be the first Intown Golf Club in Ohio from the Atlanta, Ga.-based chain, which also operates clubs in Atlanta, Charlotte and Philadelphia with plans to open in Houston, Nashville, Austin, Dallas, Washington, D.C. and Scottsdale, Ariz., the Columbus Dispatch reported.
Intown will occupy 15,000 sq. ft. of a five-story building that is currently under construction north of Spring Hill Suites in Bridge Park, the Columbus Dispatch reported. Other tenants for the building will include Central Insurance. Construction on the Intown Golf section will begin later this summer with a projected spring opening.
“Columbus has a rich history in golf, dating all the way back to our [Atlanta] hometown hero, Bobby Jones, winning the U.S. Amateur at Scioto in 1926 through what Jack Nicklaus created with the Memorial Tournament,” Intown co-founder and CEO Michael Williamson said in a news release. “We love places that have a great golf community and a strong interest in the game – and it is obvious Columbus has that in droves. Plus, it’s hard to play golf in the winter months in Ohio.”
The private club will offer various membership levels. Prices for the Columbus membership have not been finalized, but the company said they will start around $5,000.
Intown joins a host of other central Ohio destinations to offer indoor golf, including Topgolf, Golftec, the One9 Golf Lounge, the Kee, Caddy’s Delight, X-Golf, Virtual Fairways and The Golf Room.
