Golfers who now register for the Lehigh Valley region’s new Preferred Golf Membership—a membership collaboration of four separately owned courses—will be able to play at Center Valley Club of Center Valley, Pa., Olde Homestead Golf Club of New Tripoli, Pa., The Club at Morgan Hill of Easton, Pa., and Hideaway Hills Golf Club of Kresgeville, Pa. for one flat fee.
“The fact of the matter is golfers like to play a variety of courses. Instead of fighting the trend, we’ve decided to embrace it and give the golfers what they want,” says Justin Smith, General Manager of Olde Homestead Golf Club. The Membership program is designed to attract players looking for diversity in the courses they play while offering some of the benefits more commonly found at private clubs; but at a discount to private club costs which often include initiation fees, bonds as well as food and beverage minimums. “We are hoping that avid golfers are looking for a new course to call home, and we’re offering four quality home courses for one great price.” Christina Weiner, General Manager of Center Valley Club.
Aside from the variety, Preferred Golf Membership provides members the ability to book tee times in advance of the general public, offers a full slate of member only tournaments, provides Members handicap services, discounts for guest fees and pro shop merchandise, and a guest pass to each course when they sign-up.
The cost for a Preferred Golf Membership starts at $2,495 for the first 250 people who sign up. The first 250 people will be Charter Members and will receive a special rate for the program the following year. “We want the first people who join the membership to have received the greatest value.” David Karner, General Manager of The Club at Morgan Hill.
All participating courses will remain daily fee courses, open to the general golfing public, and will continue to offer outings and leagues.
